Unknown Worlds is a Table-Top Roleplaying Game using the Pillars System to bring worlds of hidden magic to the imaginations of gamers willing to prioritize creativity, cooperation, and world-building in their games.

The Unknown Worlds game can be played in many different settings. The Core Book is setting agnostic to a point: it assumes that the Unknown World (that of magic, monsters, etc.) is separate and hidden from the Known World experienced by everyday people and that the characters are exceptional in that they live in and understand both worlds. We have built several sample settings and each is presented as a Field Journal with the setting-specific information, new rules, a new Path, Secret, and Tool, along with new Monsters and challenges.

Small Town Magic: 1980’s small-town themed setting highlighting the wonders of magic.

Victorian Horror: 1860’s London themed setting exploring the darkness of the world and horrors that lurk in the cosmos.

Cozy Quests: The mystical village of Brightwater is home to magical, talking animals who have a deep connection with nature and magic. This setting is cozy and comfy in the extreme.
